Sport Marketing Undergraduate Certificate

This 12-credit undergraduate certificate integrates business principles with innovative marketing concepts that can be applied directly in the field.
Coursework focuses on the analysis of essential marketing, promotion and sales principles, as well as the guidelines for formulating marketing goals and strategies. You’ll explore how competition and environmental changes have impacted the industries over time. You’ll also have the flexibility to customize your curriculum through electives that delve into consumer behavior, fundraising and sponsorship, media and communication, and sales management.
The Undergraduate Certificate in Sport Marketing is open only to non-Sport and Recreation Management majors, and it is tailored for students interested in the field. Students have the option to count the credits earned in this certificate program toward the Sport Management minor.
Classes & Curriculum
Through the coursework, you’ll gain a broad perspective in the concepts critical to sport and recreation marketing. The 12-credit certificate comprises two required courses, which are
- Advanced Marketing for Sport and Recreation and
- Marketing Management in Sport and Recreation.
Students also choose two of the following elective courses.
