How to Apply

To apply, submit Temple's online graduate application along with an application fee of $60.

College of Science and Technology graduate candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale to apply. Most applicants have an undergraduate degree in one of the natural sciences, Computer Science or Mathematics. Students from other fields will need to take prerequisite courses.


In order to be admitted to the Bioinnovation PSM program, students must possess a baccalaureate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Business or Communication, or a Juris Doctor in Law (or foreign equivalent). Non-STEM graduates are required to enroll in at least two biology foundation courses, as recommended by the Bioinnovation PSM steering committee, on a nonmatriculated basis.

Applicants should have a solid background in one or more of the following fields: science, business, communication, law, and policy and regulation. The Bioinnovation PSM steering committee may allow departures from course requirements upon review.

Additional Requirements for International Students

For applicants whose native language is not English, the TOEFL is required. The minimum required TOEFL score is 90 iBT or 575 PBT.

Applications are processed on a continual basis. Ordinarily, the applicant is informed of an admissions decision within four to six weeks of receipt of all supporting application documents. Late applications may be considered for admission.
