In-Center Workshops
In-Center workshops are offered periodically throughout the academic semesters. You can register for one of the workshops listed below by completing the In-Center Workshops Registration form.
Please keep in mind that all in-center workshops take place in Tuttleman 201D. You are free to sign up for multiple workshops, but do not reserve a space until you actually intend to attend.
Current Workshops:
First Year Writing Portfolio workshop: This workshop focuses on supporting students’ efforts to assemble a successful portfolio for their first-year writing course. Topics will include writing the cover letter, understanding faculty expectations for the portfolio, and revising essays to meet those expectations. Students in any FYW course are welcome.

First Year Writing Portfolio workshop plus mini writing retreat: This workshop will offer our FYW portfolio presentation (described above) with the addition of dedicated time for participants to work on developing their cover letters, revise essays to put in the portfolio, and discuss their work-in-progress with writing center tutors. There will be free pizza!
Dates: (two sessions offered) Thursday, November 29, 2012, 8pm - midnight OR Saturday, December 1, 2012, noon-4pm (registration is CLOSED. Email Jennifer Follett to be added to the waiting list.)
