Tutoring Opportunities for Undergraduate Students

Writing Center tutors work in various Writing Center services, including face-to-face tutoring, e-mail tutoring, and Writing Fellows tutoring; for a full description of our services, as well as answers to frequently-asked questions, please read our Employment FAQ.

The Writing Center is looking for tutors from all disciplines. If you are interested in applying for tutoring position with the Writing Center, fill out our application form, and attach your CV, cover letter, and three academic writing samples. Your cover letter should tell us, briefly, a little about you--your academic interests; your involvement in on-campus or off-campus organizations or activities; your experiences with writing and with tutoring. Please also tell us what interests you about writing center work. Lastly, please include the names, email addresses and phone numbers of two academic references.

We accept applications from undergraduate students two times per year. (Please note that there may not always be openings for applicants applying during the Fall and Spring semesters.)
