In-Center Workshops

All in-center workshops take place in Tuttleman 201D.

Please feel free to sign up for multiple workshops, but do not reserve a space until you actually intend to attend.

If the workshop is required by an instructor, you MUST attend the entire workshop to receive a verification form. Anyone arriving more than 10 minutes late or leaving early will not receive verification for attendance.

Topics, Dates, and Descriptions:

First Year Writing portfolio workshop (three sessions offered: Wednesday, November 30 12pm-1pm, Thursday, December 1, 4:30pm-5:30pm & Friday, December 2, 4:30pm-5:30pm): this workshop focuses on supporting students' efforts to assemble a successful portfolio for their first-year writing course. Topics will include writing the cover letter, understanding faculty expectations for the portfolio, and revising essays to meet those expectations. There will also be time for students to ask specific questions about their own portfolios. Students in any FYW course are welcome.
