Take some time to get a tour of the Independence Blue Cross Student Recreation Center (1701 North 15th Street), your site for fitness opportunities.

Campus Tour, Departs from Welcome Center

Had a chance to see the campus yet?  The Welcome Center is the first stop for prospective students and parents.  The facility includes a reception area and a 100-seat auditorium.  Come by the Welcome Center for a campus tour.

Student Media, Student Center, Room 217AB

Interested in getting a start on your media career?  You've come to the right place!  Meet editors from The Temple News (Temple's student newspaper) and Templar yearbook, along with DJs and on-air personalities from WHIP, Temple's student-run internet radio station.  A tour of these student media facilities will follow the presentation.  After that, you'll also have your choice fo coming with us to tour the offices of The Philadelphia Inquirer and the television studios of CBS3, where you'll find that Temple graduates who were once in your shoes are working all over the nation's 4th largest media market.

Meet the Dean's Panel, Beury Hall, Lecture Hall 160

Dean Dai welcome students enrolled in the College of Science and Technology by hosting two sessions of "Meet the Dean's Panel to Discuss Future Career Options."  Join CST students, faculty, administration to learn about future career options for Science and Technology students.  Students majoring in Group I:  all math, computer science, physics, earth/environment and chemistry are encouraged to attend this session.  Parents are welcome.  Don't miss this conversation.  Hang around for FREE pizza.

TempleFest, Liacouras Walk (rain location:  Student Center, Atrium)

After you have moved in, join us for this outdoor festival.  It’s a perfect mix of business and fun – get all the information you need about student organizations, area vendors and campus departments such as Student Financial Services, Diamond Dollars, Parking, Meal Plans, PNC Bank, and the Bookstore.  Enjoy music, food, giveaways, and games while you get your first taste of Temple!

Parents Tent, Founder's Garden

Parents - need a break from move-in?  Join us under the tent for FREE food, relaxation and an opportunity to meet other parents and university administration and faculty.  Mix and mingle with athletic coaches, faculty members and student services staff.  Get a FREE massage and listen to music under the tent.

Students (Group I:  all math, computer science, physics, earth/environment, and chemistry majors) attending the Meet the Dean's Panel of the College of Science and Technology are invited to a pizza party.  Parents are also welcome!

Football Team Send-Off, Liacouras Walk

Temple Football is opening its season against Army Cadets in West Point, NY.  You don't want to miss the most exciting send-off for Temple Football in school history.  Cheerleaders, Diamond Gems, coachs and fellow athletes will send our team off to BEAT ARMY!

Disability Resources and Services, 100 Ritter Hall Annex

Disability Resources and Services (DRS) is hosting and open house for parents and students.  WE look forward to providing general information on services available to students with a disability at Temple University.  DRS staff will be available to answer questions - no appointment necessary, just stop in.  Light refreshments will be served.

Tyler BFA Information Session for Parents

Join us for an information session held on Main Campus for parents of Tyler BFA students who will be attending classes on the Elkins Park Campus.  Information will be provided and questions will be answered regarding the Elkins Park Campus and the students' schedules for fall 2008.

Meet with the Counseling Center Director to discuss the tranisition   for parents and families when you student starts to attend college.  This presentation will also include a discussion during which you can ask questions and add information based on your experiences.

Convocation is REQUIRED for all new students. Start your University experience off right. Convocation is a special ceremony which symbolizes the beginning of your academic journey. Hear important messages from University faculty, administrators, and the student body president.

BBQ Dinner, Anderson Mezzanine

Student moving in are invited to a barbecue dinner at Anderson Hall Mezzanine. Join your classmates and upper-class students for food and fun. Students must wear their wrist bands for admission. Parents are welcomed to purchase tickets to attend.

Floor Meetings, Residence Halls

Students moving in today must attend floor meetings in their residence halls. Don’t miss your first floor meeting with your Resident Advisor and floor mates.

Thursday Night Thriller, Pavilion

Designed especially for our new students join fellow Owls for an evening of merriment, unity and celebration!  Also, this is your chance to pick up your FREE tickets to the concert!
