Adobe Dreamweaver

To connect to Temple's Web server using Adobe Dreamweaver use Adobe Dreamweaver MX 2004 or higher. Older versions of Dreamweaver do not provide the functionality or compatibility offered by MX 2004 or higher.

Before making a connection make sure you are a authorized webmaster to the website. To become a webmaster visit http://www.temple.edu/webform

Open Dreamweaver and from the top menu choose

Step 1

In the 'Manage Sites' box, click New... 
-Choose 'FTP & RDS Server' 
A dialog box might appear: "Server connections allow you to work directly on the server ...." 

Step 2

In the 'Configure Server' box enter the following: 

Name: New Development Server 
Access type: FTP 
FTP host: develop.temple.edu 
Host directory: name of your website  e.g. /c3demo
Login: AccessNet username 
Password: AccessNet password 

Check on the box that says "Use Secure FTP (SFTP)" 
Click the "TEST" button that is located to the right of the Login field 
This test should be successful. If not, please report any errors. 
Click OK. 

Step 3

Back inside the 'Manage Sites' box, Click DONE. On a successful connection you will see all the files and folders for you website on the right. Double click on the file you want to edit.

Step 5

Start editing and publishing. 

Please Note: All edits will be done directly on Temple's development server. To make your site live use the File Transfer Utility.
