1. Project Abstract/Proposal (approx. 500 words) Please provide a clear statement of the project focus, thesis, or central argument; a specific plan for how you will develop that focus, including a description of what you will do during the first week of your project to launch your research; and a statement of project's significance.
2. A list of courses, internships, research or creative projects, or work experiences that have provided useful background for your project. Please list your experiences in order of importance beginning with the most significant.
3. Personal Statement (approx. 500 words) Please describe your academic and other interests and aspirations. Your statement should discuss your reasons for wanting to undertake the proposed project and how the project will contribute to your overall academic or intellectual development. If you have been engaged in an activity or research or creative project that has been important in clarifying or strengthening your interest in your field of study, please detail that activity or project.
4. Faculty Mentor Information Applicants are required to request a letter of recommendation from the proposed faculty mentor and to ensure that letters are submitted by the application deadline. Only complete applications will be considered. Letters of recommendation should be e-mailed (preferably as an attachment) to emoerer@temple.edu.
Please provide the name of the faculty member who has agreed to serve as mentor for your Diamond Research Scholars experience and who will provide a recommendation for your application.
