How Can Faculty Help?
Scholar Development and Fellowships Advising (SDFA) offers assistance to Temple students in all stages of the application process for competitive, merit-based national fellowships.
We provide information on available programs, advice, opportunities for strategic planning and reflection, and guidance for completing a competitive application.
Through outreach to the campus community, support of students, and collaboration with faculty and administration, Fellowships Advising seeks to develop a campus culture that encourages motivated students to pursue these enriching educational opportunities.
Know a high-achieving undergraduate? See our information on how to identify and nominate exceptional students.
Are you writing a letter of reference for a competitive award candidate? See our tips.
Are you interested in learning more? We are available to visit a class, department meeting, or other gathering to present on fellowship opportunities and explain the application process. We are also available to offer more focused workshops on personal statements. For information, contact Barbara Gorka, Director of Fellowships Advising.
