Adjunct Faculty Resources
As a valued member of our faculty, we want to ensure that you have the information and resources you need to succeed. If you have any questions that are not covered in the information or links below, please contact your department chair or dean. You may also contact the Office of the Senior Vice Provost for Faculty Development and Faculty Affairs at 215.204.3745 or via email at email@example.com.
Temple University has several continuing initiatives intended to provide contact points and engagement with adjunct faculty:
- Ongoing meetings during the academic year between adjunct faculty and representatives from the Provost's Office and Human Resources to exchange ideas about enhancing work life at Temple.
- Dean-appointed staff members serve as liasons for adjunct faculty within some schools/colleges. Please contact your Dean's office for information specific to your school/college.
- Many schools/colleges and departments hold orientation sessions and provide orientation materials for adjunct faculty at the start of each semester. Again, please contact your Dean's office for information specific to your school or college.
- Professional development opportunities Temple's Teaching & Learning Center.
Adjunct faculty may elect to make voluntary 403(b) contributions on a pre-tax or Roth 403(b) after tax basis. Contributions may be invested at any of the funds offered by either TIAA-CREF or Fidelity Investments. Adjuncts may enroll effective the first of any month and contributions will be deducted from regular pay.
