Best place to get a cheese steak: Dalessandro’s in Roxborough
Favorite city activity: Midnight bike trips to the pretzel factory
Favorite spot on campus and why: Belltower. The sun is always shining, and the bells are always ringing.
Favorite class at Temple: Choral Conducting
Favorite memory from freshman year:
During Welcome Week I joined in on an intense dodgeball tournament. Little did I know how heated it would get. Our team was a rag tag crew of backyard proportions, and we placed second place in the whole tournament. We had to fight our way to the top against the girls lacrosse team, and they were playing for more than just good memories, they meant business. In the final game we lost it all to the Dean Team, which was stacked with the Dean of Student Activities and all of his strong armed cohorts.
Piece of advice for incoming/prospective students: Philadelphia is an incredible city. Enjoy every minute of it. You can try as hard as you want, but you will never run out of things to do. So try really hard!
Why you chose Temple: The Boyer College of Music and Dance here at Temple has a well rounded Music Education program. Philadelphia is a very musical city with lots of opportunity and diversity.
How has Temple changed you for the better:
Over the past two years I have learned how to be myself. With every new course I take, my mind opens a little wider. I am learning how to think and speak my own thoughts and ideas, and that has made all the difference.
Favorite restaurant in the city: The Continental
Favorite or “best” Philly sports team: Temple Ultimate Frisbee Team
What are your plans after graduation: I will be educating young people in the way of music. It will be in a nice town. Not too rural, yet not too urban.
Favorite/best aspect of Temple: The Crepe Truck period
One thing you never leave your residence hall/apartment without: My bicycle is my best friend.
