Name: Sara

Hometown: York, PA

Major: Psychology

Year: Senior

Club(s)/Organization (s) that I'm involved with:

Honors Activities Board-President, Freshman Seminar Peer Instructor

Favorite spot on campus and why:

Bell Tower-something’s always going on there, whether it’s fall fest, spring fling, or a sweet game of frisbee.

Favorite class at Temple:

Cognitive Neuroscience-it sounds hard but was really just the most interesting facet of Psychology I’ve studied so far.

Favorite memory from freshman year:

The moment when I knew exactly where I was going!

Piece of advice for incoming/prospective students:

Don’t be afraid to ask upperclassmen questions-we’re not going to send you to the wrong place, we like helping you!

Exciting future plans at Temple:

I’m exploring the possibility of double majoring in Speech Pathology and Psychology, in addition to my Spanish minor.  I’d also like to study abroad in a Spanish-speaking country, and (hopefully) become fluent!

How has Temple changed you for the better:

I’m definitely a more independent person now.  Coming to a university where I knew pretty much no one, I was forced to branch outside of my comfort zone and make new friends.

Favorite/best aspect of Temple:

Being in Philadelphia and meeting some amazing new friends!

What do you think makes Temple unique:

Temple attracts students who are both smart and creative, dedicated and cool; we strike that perfect balance.
