Name: Mary
Hometown: Springfield, Delaware County Pennsylvania
Major: Communications
Year: 2010
Club(s)/Organization(s)that I'm involved with:
Temple News, A Choired Taste (female A Capella Group).
Favorite city activity: attending shows, concerts and shopping, of course.
Favorite spot on campus and why:
Founder’s Garden. Its arguably the most peaceful spot on Campus and perfect for when you need a moment or two. Kind of Like a Twix bar.
Favorite class at Temple: Journalism and Society with George Miller
Favorite memory from freshman year:
I happen to be a transfer student, but my favorite memory from the beginnings of my life as an owl would most definitely be the Wednesday afternoon on my way to writing for journalism class when I stumbled upon a man who goes by the name Bill Cosby. For some reason there was no one else around and as I looked up and realized who was passing me by he gave a nod of the head and that signature smile or some kind of outlandish facial expression.
Exciting future plans at Temple: Temple London Study Abroad Program Huzzah!
How has Temple changed you for the better:
Temple has opened my eyes to so many diverse worldviews and has made me comfortable with my own perspectives and beliefs.
What are your plans after graduation:
I wish I knew exactly, But something along the lines of communicating; whether through song, story or speech. I’m open to suggestions.
What do you think makes Temple unique:
The student body might be the most unique aspect of Temple, but the great community feel for a school smack in the heart of a city is certainly something worth mentioning.
Hidden talent or activity: I’m approaching master Status with the wok.
