Name: Kristen

Hometown: Mount Laurel, NJ

Major: Broadcast Journalism/PR

Year: Senior

Club(s)/Organization(s) that I'm involved with:  PR director of the Student Peace Alliance, Urbaniti Magazine

Favorite spot on campus and why:

I love food, so the “huts” next to the TECH center is one of my favorite spots to eat all kinds of food and plus, there are tables to eat outside!

Favorite class at Temple: Radio Broadcasting - loved my professor and the hands on assignments!

Piece of advice for incoming/prospective students:

I would say, bring your positive attitude and smile when you first come in.  It helps to have a smile on, even when the transition can be scary.  You’ll attract people this way and make friends instantly.  A positive attitude can change everything.

Exciting future plans at Temple:

I’m studying abroad spring semester to Rome!  I can not wait!!!  Finally I can say, “When in Rome.”

How has Temple changed you for the better:

I’ve grown so much already and look forward to continued growth as I finish out my last two years at Temple.  You are constantly learning, learning, and learning.  Not only am I a more independent person, but a more confident person.

Favorite/best aspect of Temple:  The people.  The professors and the students are awesome.

What do you think makes Temple unique:

We have a big campus feel and lots of people, but you can walk around campus feeling comfortable and seeing familiar faces.  I love it.

Hidden talent or activity:  Planning things to do.  I’ll always think of something to do… maybe that’s the busy side of me.

One thing you never leave your residence hall/apartment without: I never leave my room without my handy dandy chap stick. : )
