Major: Political Science with a minor in American Studies

Year:  Sophomore

Club(s)/Organization(s)/Sport(s) that I'm involved with:

Communication Director-Temple College Democrats, Student Peace Alliance, Honors Program

Place of residence in Philadelphia: 1300 dorm

Best place to get a cheese steak: Don’t tell anyone, but I don’t like cheese steaks = O but, I can recommend a few nice vegetarian options!

Favorite city activity: Getting on my bicycle and exploring Philadelphia!

Favorite spot on campus and why: The grass spot in the roof that divides Anderson and Gladfelter during a nice sunny day. It’s a great spot to lay or do work or both!

Favorite class at Temple: Honors Intro to Sociology with Michael Altimore. It made me think about aspects of our society in a totally different way and we read books that really enlightened me about our culture. The class was mainly class discussions about whatever topics happened to come up that day.

Favorite memory from freshman year: Move-in day. I was so excited/nervous/sad about being away from home, but I met so many new people who soon became some of my closest friends. It’s a feeling you’ll never have again.

What do you think makes Temple unique: The students themselves define Temple. We’re smart, creative, ambitious, fun and no two of us are alike. We come from different backgrounds and are able to educate each other about our cultures. No other school has a variety of students as awesome as Temple!

Piece of advice for incoming/prospective students: GET INVOLVED! If a club or organization on campus sounds fun or interesting, try it! You’ll find out what you’re really passionate about and meet so many cool people. Keep trying until you find something that fits you.
