MED Program
As a Master of Education applicant, you must submit the completed Temple University Graduate Application, a Statement of Purpose for graduate study in art education, and forward three letters of recommendation, one set of official transcripts from all colleges attended, a set of 20 slides (or a CD-ROM) of original work, and official scores from the Miller Analogies Test or the Graduate Record Exam. Copies are not acceptable substitutes for official documents. All credentials must be received by the published deadlines in the application packet for September or January admission. Portfolio (M.Ed. applicants)
As a Master of Education applicant, you must submit a portfolio, which should consist of twenty 35mm color slides or a CD-ROM with twenty images that represent the range of experience and the immediate direction of your work. You should also include a variety of drawings in your selection. Students applying with slide portfolios should label each slide with your name and indicate "top." An accompanying description list should indicate title, date completed, medium and dimensions. Students submitting CD-ROMs must also submit 10 pages of printouts on 8.5" x 11" paper, two images per page (20 images total), with a description list indicating title, date completed, medium and dimensions. Images should be in jpeg format. The CD and image index/description list would be best presented in a 9 x 12 pocket folder accompanied by a resume. Original work, slide carousels, catalogs, photographs, and/or large binders cannot be accepted and will not be returned. You must include a self-addressed, stamped (with U.S. stamps) padded envelope for the return of your slides or CD-ROM.
