University Painting and Printmaking
Residency Fellowship
Natasha Bowdoin, MFA painter and Asuka Goto
MFA sculptor have been awarded the Joan
Mitchell Foundation Grant.
The Joan Mitchell Foundation "MFA Grant
Program" was begun in 1997. This program is
conducted annually, with the selection of
ten recipients who are to receive a Masters
in Fine Arts degree from a recognized
graduate art facility in painting or
sculpture. Each recipient is awarded a Grant
of $10,000 in
recognition of artistic merit. The purpose
of this award is to assist in furthering the
recipient's artistic career and their
transition from academic to professional
studio work.
