Foundation Faculty News Fall 2012
Ryan Kelly was awarded the Fleisher Art Memorial Wind Challenge for Fall 2012. He will have a Solo Show at the Fleisher Art Memorial gallery opening Sept. 14, 2012. He is collaborating with Rebecca Harvey on work for INOSCULATION a show at the Ohio State University’s Urban Art Space, opening in October 2012, and is also collaborating with Megan Mazarick and Mason Rosenthal on Mining the Mine of the Mind for Minderals for the 2012 Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Ryan has been invited to create performance in conjunction with the Delaware Center for Contemporary Art’s Young Country Nov. 2012. He is a founding member of the artist run performance/installation gallery space PRACTICE in Philadelphia.
Timothy Belknap recently completed a residency at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson Vermont. He has a solo show opening September 15th at Airplane Gallery in Brooklyn NY. He and co-curator Ryan McCartney are organizing a video collaboration between a group of nationally know writers and a pool of both local and international film makers. The Screening is on November 17th at The Ice Box in Philadelphia.
Rubens Ghenov is having a one person show in Philadelphia at Tiger Strikes Asteroid this month titled The Silent H.
Nichola Kinch's show "The Garden of Forking Paths" at the Contemporary Art Center in Las Vegas just came down this week.
Sarah Roche is having a solo exhibition of recent paintings entitled Of The Sea at Artspace Liberti from September 7th through October 21st 2012. The opening reception is Friday, September 7 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Artspace Liberti is located at 2424 York Street, Philadelphia.
Colleen McCubbin Stepainc had four drawings included in a group show at the LGTripp Gallery in Philadelphia this summer.
Emily Cobb will have a solo-exhibition of her studio jewelry at the Philadelphia Art Alliance, from September 6th until December 10th. All are invited to the opening reception on September 20th.
