Public Programs
Public Programs are offered in
a wide variety of formats, some
as one time events, others as on-going
dialogues between artists, the
Tyler community and the region.
Activities open to many audiences
will take place in selected galleries
and other campus spaces, and in
the community. Tyler’s public
programming includes the following
areas of activity.
Educational programs may
range from in-depth visits by Tyler
classes to tours set up for outside
groups. Identifying themes of interest
to broader communities as well as
the Tyler curriculum goals will
contribute to the evolution of innovative,
varied programs. This category of
programs fosters cross-disciplinary
projects and expansion of audiences.
Traditional lectures and symposia
serve the curriculum by offering
the opportunity to hear major voices
in the field and meet critics and
curators involved with the issues
of content and process in all the
arts.
