Support Temple Gallery

Temple Gallery is the public program of Tyler School of Art and an important outreach of Temple University. Occupying an important position in Philadelphia, the Gallery embarks on a new chapter with a new facility and innovative programming"”everything from new, larger galleries, to the way exhibitions are prepared, to the possibilities for collaborative programs with Temple's academic departments"”is full of potential to expand our impact.

Temple Gallery programs connect Philadelphia to new artists and important conversations about art that circulate internationally. In recent years we have shown work by Cory Arcangel, Phil Collins, Paul Chan, Jesper Just, Kalup Linzy, Seth Price, Anri Sala, Berni Searle and Althea Thauberger, among many others. We have invited renowned guest lecturers to talk about art's significance, including art historian James Elkins, Wrong Gallery cofounder Ali Subotnick, and internationally-known artist and Tyler professor Pepon Osorio.

Temple Gallery has been an important part of the student experience at Tyler in introducing students to new art and including them in the process of organizing and presenting exhibitions and programs. In addition, each Tyler MFA student presents his or her thesis exhibition in the Temple Gallery spaces, a program that showcases their first professional efforts alongside those of other practicing young artists.

Your support is especially important as we begin to shape this new facility into a compelling base for contemporary art in our university and the region. Please join us today with a donation of your choice, or one that fits one of our categories of membership.
