Aritst Statement
Using a post-minimal approach, my personal experiences and vicarious memories become sculptures, installations, and videos. The everyday is distorted into phenomenological and suggestively narrative works. Sparse configurations encourage a close consideration of the seemingly banal while allowing space for the viewer to belong within the work. Webs of association conjure diverse meanings, stories, and truths that do not lead to a sole solution, but to a succession of questions. My work is motivated by the complexity of what it means to belong, the poignancy of longing to be, and the primacy of the struggle for a sense of belonging.
