In my paintings I strive to tell a non linear story of characters involved in disturbing, disquieting, comical, and otherwise absurd narratives . These narratives are derived from instances I have observed in life or events that I can imagine occurring. The themes of these paintings deal with human interaction with themselves, nature, and animals. The settings for these narratives all share a desolate foreboding quality with a touch of cinematic grandeur. I am influenced by film, cartoons, newspapers, and absurd humor. As a result I hope to show an alternative representation of the realities people face on a daily basis. I hope the viewer of my paintings can bring in their own interpretations to the work, as it shows many different sides of a particular situation.
