Artist Statement
Working from popular Latin American Telenovelas, I’m interested in the fabrication of cultural identities/myths. The classic melodramatic medium of television presents preconceived images of social class. I’m interested in the construction and deconstruction of a fixed narrative, by creating an alternative story, one in which the viewer may re-edit from beginning to end.
