Erin Arnold

Artist Statement

I am interested in conversation and correspondence, in verbal jokes, visual puns, and the gaps between language, communication, and relation. Currently, I've been exploring themes of romance and decorative space. I am interested in painting as a way of creating something marked by (visual) difference and based on (material) similarity.
