Artist Statement

1. These works are concerned with the subjective experience of space- architectural, material and metaphorical.
2. These are paintings, drawings and objects of incomplete and fragmented structures and sites, pointing to their specific representations, but not arriving there.
3. Inference between pieces creates the dialogue within the overall taxonomy of the work, reinforcing the way the work is made: by layers, the joining of materials, by building in the same method as the structures themselves might be constructed.
4. This inference and incompleteness seeks to engage a sense of the uncanny and the unfamiliar space through scale and re-position.
