Tyler offers the opportunity to study the visual arts within small learning communities while also providing the advantages of a large comprehensive research institution. Tyler students work with dedicated teachers, accomplished artists, and highly respected scholars.

Tyler's location in the Northeast corridor makes the cultural centers of New York, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. easily accessible.

Tyler students have the opportunity to pursue studies in a rich and diverse curriculum comprised of advanced technologies, contemporary art practice, theory and criticism, and traditional crafts. With programs taught by distinguished faculty in Architecture, Art and Art Education, Art History, Crafts (Ceramic and Glass, Fibers, and Jewelry, Metals/CAD-CAM), Foundation Studies, Graphic Arts and Design (Graphic Design, Photography, and Printmaking), Painting, Drawing, and Sculpture, our students can explore a personal vision through virtually any medium.
