A free lifetime subscription to Tyler Gestures

Tyler Gestures is a semi-annual alumni newsletter that is mailed to approximately 8,000 alumni, friends, corporations, and foundations. The purpose of this publication is to supply Tyler's alumni and friends with a deeper understanding of the priorities and achievements of Tyler today. There are opportunities for alumni to submit class notes, artwork images, and article suggestions.

Invitations to alumni reunions and events

Bringing alumni together is at the heart of the alumni association's mission and identity. On Tyler's web site you will find updates on current alumni events hosted by Tyler.

Invitations to exhibitions at the Temple Gallery

Temple Gallery exhibitions explore the cutting edge of contemporary art practice and foster a dialogue between alumni, faculty, students, the regional community, and art world at large. On Tyler's web site you will find updates on current exhibitions.

Alumni Card

You should have received your alumni card when you graduated. An alumni card basically serves as your key to the University. The card, awarded to any graduate, is useful at several places on campus for discounted services, such as the library and recreation areas. Should you ever need to have your card reissued, or wish to request a new card, email alumrel@temple.edu

Career Services

Whether you are a recent graduate or seasoned alum, the Office of Career Development Services is available to help you achieve your full potential. The office provides high-quality resources and counselors where you can receive free career planning.

Continuing Education

The Office of Continuing Education serves a wide variety of students and encourages alumni to return to Main Campus for personal enrichment. There is no formal application to enroll as a non-matriculated student, undergraduate or graduate.

Alumni Insurance Program

* Medical Insurance for special situations, including travelers and students, plus those temporarily without coverage, such as the unemployed and recent grads.

* Life Insurance with long-term protection with great rates and features. Coverage is available to $2 million.
* Auto, Homeowners, and Renters Insurance is available to Temple alumni and family at special rates.

Library Services

Temple's Paley Library houses several specialized collections, including the Government Documents/Maps Collection, the Urban Archives, a Scholars Information Center, and Special Collections. Alumni can search the stacks and research for free, but for check-out and other services of the University libraries, present your alumni card at the Paley Library Main Campus circulation desk and pay a $10 annual fee.

License Plates

Temple University license plates are available to Pennsylvania residents for $20; New Jersey residents for $50; and Delaware residents for $10. Pennsylvania sample plates exact in every detail, are also available for $5.

Online Alumni Community

Connect to Temple's Online Alumni Community and reconnect with your alma mater and fellow alumni. Services include access to the online alumni directory, submitting class notes, career center information, and email forwarding instructions.

Recreation Services

Alumni are welcome to use the student recreational facilities at the Health Science Center, Ambler College, and Main Campus, which includes the Independence Blue Cross Student Recreation Center. All you need is an Alumni Recreation Access Card, which will provide you with access to swimming, the fitness conditioning areas, the indoor jogging/walking track, and the Student Pavilion areas. All you have to do is present your Alumni Card to purchase an Alumni Recreation Access Card.

Temple Senior Scholars

Co-sponsored by the University and the TUAA, Temple Senior Scholars offers alumni age 50 and up the opportunity to return to Temple's Main Campus and audit a variety of regularly scheduled classes for a nominal fee. All courses are taught by Temple's accomplished professors and offer senior alumni the opportunity to interact with a new generation of Temple students while experiencing the joy of lifelong learning.

Temple University Platinum VisaŽ Card

Show your Temple University pride and get the credit flexibility you need. The Temple University Platinum VisaŽ card offers you a low APR and convenient ATM cash access. And each time you make a credit card purchase, you'll contribute to the University at no extra cost to you.

Temple Travel Abroad Program

The Temple Travel Abroad Program offers alumni and their families exceptional, high-quality tours through the Association's group travel program. Itineraries feature worldwide exotic packages year-round.

Temple Review

Your lifetime membership to the Temple University Alumni Association entitles you to a free subscription to the Temple Review, Temple's alumni magazine.
