
Scholarships & Financial Aid
Undergraduate
Entering freshmen, transfer, and currently enrolled students may apply for financial aid. You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid in order to be considered. Financial aid awards are based on financial need, availability of funds, the number of eligible applicants, and scholastic promise. A typical financial aid package may include grants, loans and work-study. Graduate
Teaching and Technical Assistantships
These awards carry full tuition remission with an annual stipend. All applicants are automatically considered for these awards, which are renewable.
University and Presidential Fellowships
These awards carry full tuition remission and annual stipends and are renewable. They are awarded by Temple University based on the strength of the statement of purpose, letters of recommendation, and academic/professional record as documented in the graduate application. To be considered, applicants must submit the complete application materials by January 15.
Future Faculty Fellowships
The Graduate School Office administers the Future Faculty Fellowships program, the goal of which is to diversify the American professorate by supporting students from groups that have historically been underrepresented. Nominees must be admitted to a terminal degree graduate program before being considered.
Educational Loans
Once accepted into the MFA program, US citizens my also apply for a work-study award or financial aid in the form of a Perkins loan. Please go to the Temple Financial Aid Website.
