Password Tips

What makes a good password

  • Use a pass phrase (such as the above, TU Owls are Number One) leaving out any spaces, dashes, or other special characters other than $ and #.

    Other examples of a pass phrase include: CU2morrow, Imhere2day, Willwork4$, and In2ition

  • Use the first letter of each word for a phrase. For example, the phrase "I know what I am going to(2) do today" becomes IkwIag2dt.

  • Don't use names or nicknames that someone who knows you can easily guess, such as the name of your significant other.

  • Remember that passwords must be between 8 and 15 characters.

Note: The only special characters permitted are: $ and #
The use of these characters is optional.
