TSG’s New Leaders Meeting
Temple Student Government will be holding a New Leaders Meeting designed to get students that are not currently involved in TSG to have an active role in the organization. We currently have six committees that will be led by various Executive members of Temple Student Government. These committees will discover, assess, and address any issues that arise and are related to their perspective focus. These committees will include but are not limited to:

Campus Arts
Led by Maurice Williams, the Director of Campus Arts
Purpose: Address any issues that the students of the Boyer College of Music and Dance, School of Communications and Theater, and The Tyler school of Art are concerned with. The committee will work in conjunction with the respective senators of each school. The committee will also discover ways to promote the arts at Temple University, but are not limited to the city of Philadelphia. The committee will create arts focused services that will essentially benefit the entire student body.

Community Service
Led by Jessica Reed & Jamira Burley, the Directors of Community and Local Affairs
Purpose: Members of this committee will be working on the initiatives created by the Directors of Community and Local Affairs. They will assist in the planning and execution of any and all planned events. Members will report and discuss any possible Temple Student Government and campus wide community service projects. This committee will work alongside Campus Safety, the Office of Government and Community Relations and any other community based departments at Temple.

 Marketing and Promotions
Led by Renee Gordon & Damon DeShields, the Directors of Marketing and Public Relations
Purpose: This committee will be responsible for promoting any and all aspects of Temple Student Government. This includes designing flyers and poster boards, distributing said flyers, and general promotion of TSG services and events. Members will create and attend events that familiarize all students with TSG.

Environmental Awareness
Leader: TBD
Purpose: The Environmental Committee will be focused on creating environmentally friendly initiatives. They will work with sustainable organizations on campus, as well as the Office of Sustainability. This committee will assess the Temple community and promote environmental awareness based on the data found.

Student Life
Led by Colin Saltry, the Student Life Chair
Purpose: This committee will work alongside a committee of senators focused on finding the concerns of the students. Anything that directly affects the students’ lives will be investigated and addressed by this committee. This committee will focus on residence life, community affairs, and multiculturalism.

University Affairs
Led by Eva Alkasov, the University Affairs Chair
Purpose: This committee will work alongside a committee of senators focused on issues that are university related. University Affairs will investigate and address issues pertaining to, but not limited to, academics, facilities, finances, and admissions.
