About Partnership Trainings > Topics for Self-Advocates

Training materials were developed by and for self-advocates.

Training Topics

Each FREE training module is two hours in length (unless otherwise noted). Resource materials are provided to each family free of charge, and all participants receive handouts and a certificate of completion for each presentation.

We offer Act 48 credits and some reimbursement, such as mileage and child care to families upon request.

All Partnership curricula are available in alternate formats upon request. Request for alternate formats should be made two weeks before the scheduled training.

 Topics for Self-Advocates

Pennsylvania needs more leaders who are self-advocates. In these trainings, you will learn from other self-advocates about what it takes to be a leader, the roles of leaders and how to take charge of your own life and help other people take charge of their lives.

Core training topics provide basic information about the Intellectual Disability (ID) System in Pennsylvania.

The Partnership offers many more trainings so you can learn about a variety of different topics.
