Self-Advocacy

In this training, we describe what self-advocacy is and what it means to be a self-advocate. Examples of famous advocates will show you how important it is to speak up for yourself and for others. You will learn that you have the same rights as every citizen in this country. You will practice when to speak up for yourself and how to speak up so you will be heard. After this session, you will know that you have the right to ask for what you need and want. (2 hours)
