The newly-formed SAU1 brings together people with developmental disabilities across the state to break down walls and build bridges to an everyday life.
Using tools of enthusiasm, ideas, brainpower, information, and knowledge, members offer trainings statewide on how to dream big and make real plans; how to make your own choices; how to fight for your rights; and to provide answers to your questions or tell you the right people to ask when we don't have the answers.
We take action on committees to make changes for all people with cognitive disabilities. We are always learning more about the system in order to guide others through the system to get what they need. Members proclaim the right to an Everyday Life.
