About Theater @ Temple University
Entering its 47th active year of operation, the Department of Theater is a proud part of the new Division of Theater, Film and Media Arts/Center for the Arts at Temple, and was recently ranked by U.S. News & World Report among the top 25 theater programs in the nation. The faculty and staff of the department represent highly-trained scholars and professionals with theater credits in Philadelphia, New York City, nationally and internationally. Our BA program features strong professional concentrations in Theater Studies, Musical Theater, Acting, Directing and Design/Tech. In addition, Graduate MFA programs are offered in Acting, Directing, Design and Playwriting, engendering countless opportunities for interdisciplinary creative and scholarly synergy between all levels.
