- 9: From 12-1:30PM, Carol Kelley, author of Accidental Immigrants and the Search for Home, will be presenting her book as part of the book panel at the American Sociological Association's International Migration Section mini conference at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York in New York City.
- 9-11: Susan Ostrander, author of Citizenship and Governance in a Changing City, will be attending the annual meeting of the Society for the Study of Social Problems in New York, NY.
- 10: Accidental Immigrants and the Search for Home author Carol Kelley will be presenting a workshop at a women's retreat in New Hampshire.
