Members of the student team that took first place the architecture department’s competition to design an imaginary new facility for the department discuss their winning entry with architecture chair Lindsay Bremner (second from right) and Tyler School of Art Dean Keith Morrison (right).

The competition required each of the 30 participating student teams to submit ideas in six days for a hypothetical relocation of the Architecture Department to Progress Plaza.

Students who designed the winning entry — an elevated green space connecting the campus and community — included (left to right) Nicholas Majczan, Andrea DeVico, Kyle Solyak and Alex Miller; not pictured are Maha Al Ghatam, Christopher Gargantos, Chad Gery, Caitlin Jacobi, Arkadiy Landa and Ladam Zaim.
