STHM collaborates with the National Tour Association

The School of Tourism and Hospitality Management is collaborating with the National Tour Association (NTA) to update the NTA's Certified Tour Professional Program.

The program is geared toward imparting knowledge related to tours and packaged travel.

To develop the program, the NTA will work with the STHM under the supervision of Dr. Joe Goldblatt, CSEP, a senior lecturer at the school.

STHM’s National Laboratory for Tourism and eCommerce and the university at large will also collaborate in this effort.

STHM plans to conduct focus groups comprising various NTA member categories and use a trained facilitator to identify the duties and tasks associated with the many professions at NTA.

They will then develop courses, course materials and other support materials to provide the proper training for what NTA members need.
