President David Adamany announces 2004 Great Teacher Award Nominations
President David Adamany has announced the 16th year of formal recognition by the University of great teachers.
The Temple University Great Teacher Awards were established in 1988 by the Board of Trustees, and each year Temple selects five outstanding faculty members to be honored as Great Teachers.
Each is presented with a commemorative sculpture by Professor Stanley Lechtzin of the Tyler School of Art and a stipend of $15,000 at a special convocation. Each recipient's name is engraved in the wall of Founders Garden.
The convocation helps us focus on Temple's tradition of excellence in teaching, while recognizing the achievements of the individual winners.
