Search Committee recommends Ann Weaver Hart as Temple's 9th president

The Presidential Search Committee of Temple University is extremely pleased to announce that it intends to recommend to the University’s Board of Trustees that Ann Weaver Hart, president of the University of New Hampshire, become the ninth President of Temple University.

Dr. Hart will come to the Temple campus to meet trustees, students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends early next week.

After that visit, the Committee expects to make its formal recommendation to the Board.

Since January 19, 2006, the Search Committee has evaluated the qualifications of over 100 nominees, reduced the list to 35 active candidates for more intensive review, and interviewed eight.

After further deliberations and interviews, Dr. Hart emerged as the strongest candidate and as the unanimous choice of the Committee.
