New HR software improves application process, provides online computer training
The Human Resources Department has announced a partnership with Kenexa Prove It!, a Web-based application that assesses technical and office skills.
This software enables HR to assess an applicant’s abilities from his or her desktop or home computer.
Internal and external applicants no longer will have to spend time away from work traveling to the Human Resources Department, nor will they have to take the skills assessment in a small “typing room.”
An HR generalist will provide each candidate with a password for the Prove It! Web site. Once the candidate has completed the examination, he or she and the generalist will immediately receive the results.
The service also features online tutorials for all University employees. Current Temple employees can have access to tutorials on software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint; Peachtree Accounting; and QuickBooks Pro.
These tutorials can be accessed 24 hours a day, from any computer with an Internet connection, and can help employees achieve their software goals on the Performance Development Plan.
