Awards&Achievements

Kristen Foley, an assistant director of athletics since 2000, has been promoted to associate athletic director. In her role, Foley, who also serves as the department's senior women's administrator, oversees the administration of 12 varsity sports, including budget construction, scheduling contests, student-athlete crisis intervention and evaluation and review of coaches. In addition, she supervises the Academic Support and Compliance Units for student-athletes.

Walt Holliday, who has been the University's director of academic support for student-athletes, has been promoted to assistant athletic director for academic support. Now in his fifth year at Temple, Holliday is directly responsible for all academic support of the football, men's basketball, volleyball, and golf programs. In addition, he oversees support services for 18 other athletic teams, serves as the admissions liaison for the athletic department, and supervises the athletic tutoring program.
