Ethics symposium aims to tackle key issues
The Dean of Students Office will sponsor a Symposium on Ethics, Civic Responsibility and Community on Friday, April 22, to discuss issues of importance to the Temple community.
Students, faculty, staff and administrators are invited to this daylong conference.
The keynote address will feature Thomas J. Balistrieri, director of student development and counseling at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass. Balistrieri has spent the last decade researching how indigenous cultures assist young people in maturing into responsible adults. His talk is titled “Student Affairs Professionals: Guardians of Sacred Space, Sacred Time and Sacred Relationships.”
Temple Student Government representatives will also be on hand to discuss the formulation of a “Temple creed,” a statement that defines what it means to be a Temple student and part of the University community.
