Temple welcomes vice provost for libraries
On Feb. 15, Larry P. Alford joined Temple in his newly created role as vice provost for libraries and university librarian.
Alford oversees all of Temple’s 17 libraries in a federated system that includes the Paley Main Library, the Law Library and the Health Sciences Libraries.
On his first day, Alford walked through each Paley Library department, each of the five engineering and science libraries, and Zahn (education) library in Ritter Hall.

Alford held his first job in a library while he was a student at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
