Outreach and Engagement

Synergy among Temple University's internal and external community requires strong outreach and engagement between a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Temple is moving forward in developing and promoting initiatives in partnership with a wide range of constituents, including student groups, neighborhood and civic organizations, government leaders, corporate citizens and national organizations focused on sustainability.

On campus, Temple's goal is to build support and inspire action that leads to a green campus culture, fosters behavioral change, and promotes environmental literacy among all campus populations: students, faculty, staff, vendors, and others. Students, in particular, play a significant role in changing the campus culture.

Externally, the university seeks to promote regional and national awareness of its new and ongoing sustainability initiatives, in order to build additional relationships and position the university as a model for sustainable action among large urban research universities.
