SUMMER I:
2021 Computers for Design
Days: MTWR 9:00-12:00, TA 00201
Instructor: Elizabeth Shirrell
Section: 011
This class teaches the 3 programs most commonly used in design: Photoshop,
Illustrator and InDesign. Some experience in Photoshop and Illustrator would be
good — the equivalent of the Foundation computer class would be sufficient.
3045 Intro to Visual Communication
Days: MTWR, 6:00-9:00PM, 240S
Instructor: Steve DeCusatis
Section: 011
This is a class that teaches how to communicate through images and visual
language (typography). The emphasis is on visual ideas/concepts, not so much
on execution. Strong drawing skills are a plus, but not required.
3123 Intro to Interactive
Days: MTWR 6:00-9:00PM, TA00201
Instructor: Al Duca
Section: 011
This class requires basic knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator. The main
program being taught is Dreamweaver. The 2 assignments are a personal
portfolio website and a website for an artist (design, fine art, music, etc) of the
student's choice.
