Quitting smoking involves identifying the relationship between the physical addiction to nicotine and psychological dependence on tobacco products.
Student Health Services can assist the student who smokes in assessing their readiness to quit, formulate an achievable plan to quit and provide individualized education, counseling and medication regimen to quit.
Nicotine replacement therapy is provided at no cost to the student in conjunction with Philadelphia’s Tobacco Control Program.
For further information or if you have an interest in quitting, contact Student Health Services to meet with a Nurse to formulate your own successful quit plan. Additionally, you can email quit.help@temple.edu for information.
