Student Health Services provides nutrition education for the Temple University student community. Nutrition counseling sessions offer individualized evidence-based nutrition information to guide students in achieving a balanced and healthy approach to meal planning and eating issues.
Consultations focus on the relationship between nutrition, health and well-being, and disease management. The initial appointment, one hour, involves a thorough assessment of dietary habits, a nutrition status evaluation, and goal setting for behavior change. Follow-up appointments, thirty minutes, are available as needed.
Students can make appointments to talk with the dietitian about topics that include the following:
- Healthy eating
- High cholesterol
- Diabetes education
- Eating disorders
- Sports nutrition
- Vegetarianism
- Weight management
- Digestive disorders (lactose intolerance, irritable bowel syndrome)
To make an appointment with the dietitian, call 215-204-7500.
There is no charge for students who pay the Student Services Fee. |
