The Post 9/11 GI Bill has increased the number of student veterans on our nation’s campuses since its introduction in 2009. Veterans possess discipline, real world experience, maturity, and leadership skills that separate them from the average college student. The student veteran can benefit their campus, community, state, and the nation.
A service member who transitions out of the military can often find difficulty along their phase of readjustment to the civilian world. Temple Veterans Association welcomes veterans and offers to ease the transition by helping the veteran locate and understand information, and obtain resources and benefits that he/she is entitled to. Our purpose extends to connecting the student-veteran with Temple resources, career advancement, and to provide a social network.
