Dr.Zinzer and a group of very dedicated people have arranged media coverage of the event, an appearance from the mayor, dozens of sponsors and vendors, and learning seminars. Just a few of the sponsors include: Johnson and Johnson, blue cross blue shield, American diabetes associate, health partners, and many more. Physicians from Temple and Jefferson medical schools will be in attendance to educate patients and students. Nurses from UPENN will be administering 300-500 flu vaccinations that were donated from the CDC. Also some of the best podiatrists in the world will be there from TUSPM, giving foot screenings to patients and seminars to students! This years theme is 'Diabetes in Children and Adolescents' and the official color is a light blue. Every student and clinician will be given a pin that they can keep for their white coat. They are also hoping to provide all of the students with tee shirts for the day of the event.
