                        TUEMS Operations

TUEMS responds to incidents on the Temple University Main Campus area from 7:30 pm thru 3:30 am on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. We are dispatched through the Temple Police radio channel as EMS 1, 2 and so on.

After the initial dispatch, on-call members respond on the TUEMS bikes to the scene and start providing treatment.

Each crew is comprised of a minimum certification level of at least one Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and one First Responder (FR). This is a typical arrangement on any BLS (Basic Life Support) ambulance. A third bike is also available for a third member to ride along as part of the crew.

When at an incident, there are several treatment options available to
                        TUEMS members and their patients.

-A Philadelphia Fire Department Medic unit can be called to transport the
                          patient to the hospital.

-Lastly, the patient can refuse further treatment and after obtaining written
consent, TUEMS will return to service for the next call
